This work demonstrated that surface modification of milk exosomes with zwitterionic peptides ensures particle stability, enhances intestinal mucus permeability, and improves uptake by intestinal epithelial cells. The result suggests the significant potential of surface-modified exosomes as a stable oral drug delivery system with high bioactivity. The paper is published in Biomaterial Science and you can read it [HERE]!
Congrats to Hengli and Chenzhen on publishing new work in Biomaterials Science: “Milk exosomes anchored with hydrophilic and zwitterionic motifs enhance mucus permeability for applications in oral gene delivery”
